Concretely, the ED Foundation’s mission aims to provide support and work with national and international development actors, as well as with communities, including women, young girls, and youth with the view to empower and enable them to develop and implement strategies that are practical, effective, sustainable and scalable to better respond and contribute efficiently to sustainable development challenges and goals. This implies supporting government institutions, civil society actors, grassroots communities, the private sector, in short, state and non-state actors as well as technical and financial partners supporting development.

The ED Foundation seeks to serve as a communication bridge to stimulate and encourage dialogue and interactions between actors (public-private, governmental and non-governmental actors, etc.); and to help foster North-South cooperation, and South-South cooperation.
